assalamu alaykum

Sahaba used to say Allah and His Prophet knows best for an reply to our prophet when prophet was(alive) among them. Now prophet is not among us, Is't permissible to say Allah and His Prophet knows best?. Specially now a days i have never seen any scholar uses that!. For the OP, should we say "Allah swt knows and prophet knew best"
