throwing dates after nikah has been also done in BD Ijtema where more than 100´s couple marriage has been arranged every year. one of my cloth got cut apart by attending and fighting to get dates which were distributed in Ijtema after nikah.

Don't feel offended but in India people often talk about "bhooke bengalis". After reading your post I know what it means.
