slaam
so i have missed many years of salah. so i would like to ask the following

1.) from what age would you have to make up for missed prayers?
2.) when doing the intention would i have to make intention for the specific day. or can i just say "i intend to say 4 fard rakats of salatul qada..." in other words would would i say for the intention. as doing qada for a specific day seems somewhat complicated
3.) im guessing qada cannot be prayer in the disallowed times such as after asr. would this be correct?

thank you
jazakallah

1. From the time you reached the age of puberty (baaligh). Any Salaah missed from this point onwards is regarded as qadha and will have to be made up for.

2. Just make intention of 2 farz of fajr or 4 farz zohr etc.. You don’t have to make niyyah for a specific day or date.

3. Qadha cannot be performed in the disallowed (makruh) times

The easiest way to complete qadha salaah is to calculate how many years of missed salaah you have.
Then fix a start date for example 1st June 2011. From then on read one days qadha salaah every day

If you have 1 years qadha you will be over at the end of May 2012.

In this way there is no need to keep a chart and tick off as you go along.

Of course you have to make sure you don’t skip a days salaah in between.

To make it easy you could also leave out the sunnat e ghair muaqqada and read qadha salaah instead.

Make a note of your start date and end date so you will know when to stop.
