So did he use this speech as an opportunity to spread his da`wah to Deoband on purpose, or did he just not realize that they were Asharis and Maturidis, and probably didn't like that closeted takfir of his?

Why was an opportunity given to a 'Salafi' by the Ashari/maturidis to start with? Why did the Ulema remain silent at the 'closeted Takfeer' ? Or probably , you know more than those who invited him and listened to him?
