JazakAllah Khair. I used the address sister ummitaalib gave me and within an hour I personally got a reply from the shaykh informing me that he had received my email and would respond accordingly in a few days.

This is based on nearly 10 years of observations and I am neither Bay't to him nor connected to his Silsila.

Shaykh (Mufti) Zubair Dudha (HA) is Khaleefa of Shaykh (Maulana) Hakeem Akhtar (HA) and has "personal Ijaza to give Fatwa" from the previous Grand-Mufti of Darul-uloom Deoband.

The entire ITA (Khanqah) is extremely organized, spotlessly clean with labels on all rooms etc. Shaykh (Mufti) Zubair Dudha (HA)’s office is electronically locked and sealed and you have to get an appointment to get into his office (i.e. he buzzes you in) and once inside NO ONE can either see what goes inside or hear anything because the door is pretty thick!

The phone is inside the office and nobody can answer it but him and he usually attends the phone after 19:00 during weekdays.

Inside his office, he has a desk and his PC/Monitor is facing him and nobody has the password to the PC or the Wifi so nobody can check the emails except him.

He has Ulama (I think a young Mufti or two) who are training in Fatwa giving so he may forward the email and then check and verify the answers (like askimam). If you want you can request in email that you want nobody but him answering, I guess.

There are NO PAPERS on the desk, no printouts, no clutter so NOBODY can pick up anything. All cables are spotlessly cabled out and there is not a disorganized paper, wire or anything in sight and you can go to Khanqah day and night and its always spotless, Masha’Allah!

When you have an appointment and Shaykh (Mufti) Zubair Dudha (HA)’s office phone or mobile rings and if its private he clearly tells the person if its private, “I have some guests with me so I will have to ring you back…”

Sometimes I do feel for our Sisters who have not seen Shaykh (Mufti) Zubair Dudha (HA) and how the Khanqah runs....I MEAN ITS SPOTLESS AND ORGANISED TO THE T!!!
You may have to wait for an answer because he is very busy.

I have been to many Ulama and Muftees who deal with sensitive issues and nobody has the organisational skills and clutter-free environment like Shaykh (Mufti) Zubair Dudha (HA), this is no joke! Usually you see papers in the office and files etc in the room.
