I think they meant "To" as in.... I'm slaughtering this animal in the name of such and such person..... by not saying the name of Allah, but rather saying or intending the name of the person.

While the opposite would be, I am slaughtering this animal in the name of Allah, and I hope the Ajr goes to such and such person.

I've never heard of a person making a sacrifice to their dead parents.

Is this done in Somalia?
