asalamalaikum
so as i have become more practising i had stopped listening to music, even when training!
However, why is it that music is haram ? and how much of a bad sin is it?
and sometimes i may put on music here and there as i have a craving for bass! (i listen to Trance btw)

in subtitue to music i have been listening to quran. but i want to ask, would be okay to listen to music while training simply for the motivation? (my guess is not)
