i pray in two different mosques.
one near my house which is not as constructed as the other. just the environment isnt as good, they're having an extension done (so its abit run down) and i dont find the imams tajweed all great (although its better than mine).
and the other has more pious people and greater in numbers when it comes to praying in jamath and a better atmosphere.

i wanted to ask, is it fard for men to pray in mosques, or to pray in congregation? or both
as i know one of the best good deeds you can do is pray the daily prayers on time, but mosques do not pray them straight away. but there is also alot of reward in praying in congregation.

also, my local mosque is brelvi. i just pray there and dont participate in their rituals. is it a problem to pray there ?

also the other mosque which is more preferable (a 20 min walk) is a good hanafi mosque, but im i also think they are also somewhat brelvi
If both mosques are Barelwi and there is no mosque in which the Imam is non Barelwi available for you, then you should pray in the mosque that is closer to your house/office. As long as you don't participate in anything against Shar'ia, it should be ok,
