Enigma, it may be worthwile listening to the bayaan 'Hazrat-Ayub-(AS)-Ke-Sabr', by the late Qari Mohammed Haneef Multani, available here

, one of my favourite bayaans by the late Qari saab, and they narrate the story beautifully - I cannot reccommend this bayaan enough!!!

I may not get the time to listen to the bayaan but I shall try. But any chance you can clarify my original post? Did the incident happen in the way it is generally reported to Prophet Ayub:alaihis: . Not talking about the length of time of the illness but the illness itself.
