Assalam o 'alaykum,

Mawlana Sarfaraz Khan mentioned in his tafsir lecture that the above is not true as a Prophet doesn't befit such an illness.
So what was the illness and what did these insects do?

What is reported in actual narrations, from classical mufasireen.

Im not arguing with you,but isnt the comment 'it does not befit a Prophet' somewhat subjective? I mean could that line of argument not be used for alot of other things?

I simply want to know the stance from the Quran,Ahadith, the companions and the early scholars.

Has Mawlana Sarfaraz mentioned 'it does not befit a Prophet' from his own understanding or was that the stance of the Prophet , the companions and the early scholars?

or does it mean the illness did not happen? Im trying to ascertain what part of 'does not befit a Prophet' the mawlana means.
