Assalam o 'alaykum,

Mawlana Sarfaraz Khan mentioned in his tafsir lecture that the above is not true as a Prophet doesn't befit such an illness.

Similarly, Shaykh Muhammad Salih Farfur, in his al-Risalah al-Nafi'ah, mentions that the anbiya' cannot suffer from those diseases that detract people away from them and that the narrations regarding Sayyiduna Ayyub 'alaihissalam are incorrect and from the isra'iliyyat. As such, what he was inflicted with was a regular illness.
