(1) Sheikh ul Hadith Maulana Yunus Jaunpuri
(2) Sheikh ul Hadith Maulana Hanif Kharod
(3) Sheikh ul Hadith Mufti Ahmed Khanpuri
(4) Sheikh ul Hadith Mufti Taqi Uthmani
(5) Sheikh ul Hadith Maulana Fazlur Rahman Azmi
(6) Sheikh ul Hadith Mufti Saeed Ahmed Palanpuri

First 1,2,3,6 are indian ulema, 4 is from pakistan, 5 is from S Africa - I dont know what your nationality is brother but indian people dont treat their ulema in high esteem. If either of these were in an Arab countries they would be considered giants amongst the masses in ilm, you need only ask Sheikh Akram Nadwi about Sheikh Yunus's knowledge in the field of hadith.

I have also heard that when Sheikh Yunus sahib goes to Madina al Munawwarah arab students used to come to live with the Sheikh. A desi person at the time who is now a very high ranking scholar used to disregard him due to him being desi and ignore him on this account, but when he heard that arabs were saying that whilst Sheikh is here we will stay with him then his eyes opened. I heard this from a person who was in Medina at the time and who witnessed it.

What if i told you malasians who have PhD's in islamic studies go to visit Sheikh sahib to ask him questions? some malaysians actually recorded his full Bukhari sabaks on tape, they used to come from Deoband to record.
