This fatwa generally explains this topic,

A knowledgeable answer.
GF Haddad is not an authentic representation of Islam, His arrogance however leads him to think he is an authority on Islam. To this end he never ceases to insult name call and derisively abuse anyone who disagrees with his views. . Like the great scholar and Muhadith Mufti Taqi Usmani. Haddad took it personally when Mufti Taqi Usmani questioned the validity of the milad. Just read his childish musings here:
http://www.livingislam.org/n/tufm_e.html
He is guided by and follows Nazam Haqqani- an outrageous individual who holds extreme views that are more in line with Shias like his belief and sworn testimony that he met Imam Mahdi in a cave in the 1960’s outside Madinah and this is where the Imam is hiding (presumably growing old gracefully).
GF Haddad is one of the “reformers” of islam-reformer in that he is attempting to remould Islam so that as an ex-Catholic, he can feel comfortable calling upon and worshipping dead saints.
The reason why women outnumber men in the last days is actually because most of them end up getting slaughtered because of wars, and fighting between muslims:
Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Number 185:
Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, "Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing."
Qataadah reported that Anas ibn Maalik .4 said, "Shall I not relate
to you a Hadeeth I heard from the Messenger of Allah a which none
will relate to you after me? I heard him say that, 'from the signs of
the Hour is the raising (or taking) of knowledge; ignorance will
spread, fornication will become rampant, alcohol will be imbibed,
men will perish, and women will remain, until there remains one
male guardian for every 50 women.— (Ibn Maajah)
Anas said, "We used to relate that the Hour will not arrive until
the sky stops giving rain, until the earth (its crops) does not grow,
until for every 50 women, there will be a single guardian, and until a
woman passes by a man, who looks at her and says, 'this woman
used to have a man."' (Ahmad)
And the following is a Hadeeth which Anas ibn Maalik imputed to
the Prophet a "The Hour will not arrive until knowledge is raised,
ignorance is widespread, men are few, women are many, and until
for every 50 women, there will be a single man who will be their
guardian." (Ahmad)
