Conspiracy theories are developed to provide alternative explanations for nationally traumatic events that are not adequately explained by the official one. Since the official story is seen by some as inadequate, then it implies those who develop and promote the official story are part of a cover up to conceal the truth of the real causation of this event which therefore also implies that they are guilty of some involvement or complicity with the real concealed causation. For example, the official 9/11 story does not explain the implosive collapse of the 47-story WTC7 nor the presence of explosive nanothermite particles and its signature iron-rich microspherules in the WTC dust.
