Questions About Prayer
Asalaamu alaikum, I'm both a new revert and new to these forums, so my deepest apologies if this is posted in the wrong section-
I've been told that seizures mean I have to do wudu over again because it's a loss of consciousness. I've heard dozing off a little where you're still aware you don't, but since you cannot be snapped into awareness from even a very short seizure (like an absence) you have to do wudu over again... I keep hearing mixed answers on whether or not I have to do it every time. I have absence seizures frequently enough that sometimes, I can have 100 or more in a day. Obviously, sometimes it interrupts prayer. And sometimes, because I'm in silence and in prayer, it's happened and I didn't notice until after when someone told me I was standing there eyes fluttering. Since it happens frequently enough that it would be very hard or impossible on a bad day to keep up with all prayers, do I still have to stop, do wudu again and do prayers over? Or can I continue and finish if it keeps happening that day?
Also- since I remain conscious during a simple partial seizure, do I have to do wudu again since my consciousness is altered? Or does consciousness mean I'm still ok?
I've also heard a tale that complete loss of consciousness for more than a minute (which I've gotten with complex partials and grand mal) that I need to do ghusl.... Is this true?
And if there are different answers between the schools of thoughts, I'd like to know. I just put "Hanafi" on mine because that's what my Masjid put in for the prayer times calendar and my friends are all Hanafi.. I still don't understand the differences so well yet.
Sorry for all the questions. I just want to do prayers right.
