Do nafil salah hajjat and make dua to Allah. I have seen disputes within families on attempts to keep marriage simple according to Sharia. I have read somewhere that respect of parents should be kept in mind and let them do mubah things instead of getting so strict and cause stretch.
Mostly men go to masjid and get the nikah done there in the presence of witnesses etc. Girl is usually at home.
Attended few nikahs where both bridge and groom were in the masjid (segregated). It cause some issues with purdah, hijab, kids, babies, noise, chaos. Also women without purdah/hijab were comming and going around the main enterance of masjid while people were on the way for salah.
So keep in mind overall picture please.
