I think he means stay with your group i.e. your natural environment, society/culture and don't worry about it. I personally do not believe we should be living our lives thinking of things and worrying about that which we do not encounter. We should not have to be made constantly aware of what happens across the world when we are not able to understand what happens in front of our faces.
