And can anyone please quote the hadith about the prediction of 72 divisions in Islam, JazakAllah

He said so to list all the parties and groups of Muslims in totality who had some sort of reservation against Dr. Zakir Naik.

Here's the hadeeth: Rasoolullah

said, "My ummah will be divided into seventy three sects. All of them will be in the Fire except one." -Saheeh Muslim

Also, differences exist because of necessity. If a person says weird things about Islam but still is a Muslim, has he not created a separate sect if people follow him in his beliefs?

Just listen to the audio itself. It doesn't matter what you call yourself since labels are usually given by other parties. Even the label "Deobandi" was not something that the earlier Deobandis adopted. It was a name given to them by the non-Deobandis. Similarly, Barelvis didn't call themselves "Barelvis" at the start but were labelled this by others.

The reason labels exist are to differentiate between people because some people who call themselves Muslim do not follow the correct understanding of the Qur'an and Sunnah - and Dr. Zakir Naik is one of them! But of course, his mistakes don't take him out of Islam and he remains a Muslim yet he is not the person who represents the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah (by the way, this is a label that is found being mentioned among the sahaba as well so it isn't a "sect" but it is the true Muslims, the one sect that will be saved from the hellfire).
