wow this program looks ancient, we have moved on to things like autodesk 3ds max and maya here in the 21st century
Neither of the above mentioned do a finite element analysis.

Now I'm no expert, as I've only covered the very basics and I've pretty much been learning as I go along with my thesis. Programs such as Abaqus, Ansys etc. are used to find, for example the critical stress, an area of a component most likely to be permanently deformed or damaged when a load is applied. That's just one of many things that it can do.

It can also calculate the energy required to propagate a crack in a component, something which I am doing.
