I will start off with the Islamic greeting with which Muslims salute one another:

"As salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh."

Allah says in the Qur'an in Sura Nisa'(no.4), ayah no 86:

"Wa-itha huyyeetum bitahiyyatin fahayyoo bi-ahsana minha aw ruddooha inna Allaha kana AAala kulli shay-in haseeban" (transliteration)

"When a (courteous) greeting is offered you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous, or (at least) of equal courtesy. God takes careful account of all things."

(Translation by 'Abdullah Yusuf 'Ali)

Wa salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
