Your wudu is broken if the blood spreads from the area of the cut. so wash the cut and remove water from the area and let it sit until it dries by itself as long as you don't perturb it it should dry sufficiently so it doesn't spread on its own. DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE WITH A TISSUE. leave it alone. even if it's still "wet" you're wudu is valid so long as you don't spread the blood around or cause it to run by applying pressure to the spot.

I let my finger sit and let the fan blowing on it for almost an hour, and then did the tissue test and a red streak still appeared, but there was no actual blood spread at any time since the cut. Blood only showed when pressed on with a tissue.

So I ended eventually giving in and doing wudu and praying Asr to Witr in a row. I'm not sure if my new wudu was correct. I did it mostly with my left hand (except for masah) and tried my best not to drip any water that touched the finger (although some did fall on my clothes and floor, so now I'm confused about what you said with using a dry finger). When I checked with the tissue right before my new wudu (almost 3 hours after the original cut), I still saw a very light streak of blood when pressed with a tissue, but nothing flowing nor even building up.

So after what you said, that I had to wash (which I did several times) and then keep the finger dry (which I didn't really) did najis water spread all over my clothes and head when I did masah? So my salat are all invalid?

brother put an ice cube on the wound it will immediately stop the bleeding
but if the cut is bigger you must go to the emergency
Yes brother, I put an ice for like 30 minutes. It didn't change anything, or rather I wasn't really bleeding. I had a cut and blood was just there in the cut I guess, deep within (hence having to press tissue to see it)

Jazakallah
