They are almost certain to get life sentences without parole in America, and almost certain to be placed in the supermax prisons where prisoners are confined to a small concrete room for decades without seeing another human being.

The BBC are good at rubbing things in and hey if it scares others in speaking out they will have achieved their goal. You notice how they say its not isolated but talk about how the construction only is designed to kill you!
