I'm glad to see that the topic of Libya has been on your mind also, Edeevee. From what I have read it certainly seems that our administration (President and Secretary of State) failed our citizens in this case. The call for help was sent and received, yet we did not act on it. I continue to wonder...why??

From your list of what this was NOT, the one that you stump me on is #4.

4. It was not an attack on our embassy. (Trust me, that turns out to be important.)

From what I have read that is what I have concluded it truly was? It does not appear to be a reaction to a video as we had first been told.

I'm most interested in your thoughts on this. I have read on HP where many conservative readers are calling this a news blackout by our government. I do not necessarily believe there is a news blackout....if so we wouldn't have read about the alternate story of the embassy being attacked. I do remind myself that we(the public) were not informed once Obama and a select few in our government had discovered the location of Bin Laden until after the successful attack. Are they once again gathering data so that those responsible for the attack will be captured? Could that be the reason for the silence on the subject right now?

Our administration failed our citizens working for the Embassy in Libya. That is a fact. A friend of mine said, we called on our Seals to get Bin Laden, they did their job. The Seals called on us to rescue them from an impossible situation and we did not do our job. We do deserve to know 'The Rest of The Story' as Paul Harvey would say. Looking forward to reading your two cents (or twenty dollars) worth.
