I over heard this guy saying he was minding his own business at a bar talking to someone when suddenly a group of Blacks started harassing him. They were going on about how Obama won and calling him White trash. Supposedly there was some fighting.

The guy is loud and obnoxious and so maybe that played a role but it does show how the election was made into a racial competition, despite many White people voting for Obama. Obama supposedly said he'd bring people together and move past race but his election campaign was heavy in stirring racial animosity.

Both Romney and Obama suck but presidents do their most whacky agenda driven stuff in the second term when they don't have to worry about another election for themselves. So even though Romney is a lamer I would preferred him over Obama. Of course my preference is Ron Paul but as Elias noted the media is against him. Last time I contributed money to his campaign but not this time. It's pointless to run for election if you don't have people backing you in the media. All his support came through the internet but there was no political internet revolution. The reality is "the system" has to collapse in a rubble for real change to occur but just as likely is something worse being born from the rubble. I'm very pessimistic.

I was registered to vote but chose not to as a way of saying, "fuck you!" Local elections are far more important in the lives of individuals than a presidential election. Very few people realize this fact. For example, Nutley has raped me for quite bit of money one year because they have a weird law that doesn't allow street parking at night but yet there is no where to park unless you have a drive way or pay a business to allow you to park in their lot. It's absurd.
