It seems like there are a lot of members here that live in the South, and I have a question I would like to ask regarding schools in the Southern region of the U.S.. After going to school in Oregon for a year and a half I have had enough with the uber-liberal mindset and need to transfer, ideally somewhere in the South. Right now TCU is my #1 but Clemson also looks good, as well as a few others who's names escape me at the moment.

I guess my question is really what your guys' opinions are on schools in the South, pros and cons of any that you know of/attended. Any input is greatly appreciated.

IMO - it is what you are interested in. Southern universities are not as highly ranked for the most part (not all though). If you care at all about the quality of education you are getting and connections you may acquire and not about the "liberal" mindset you should keep ranking in mind.

If all you care about is more "conservative" type thinking, good luck: universities are meant for sharing and thinking about ideas, not left or right thinking
