Pan Am Flight-73 so-called hijacker 'killed' in drone assault in Pakistan Jan 15, 2010 DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan (AP) -- A U.S. missile attack in Pakistan killed among the FBI's most-wanted terrorists, a guy thought in a life-threatening 1986 airplane hijacking with a million bounty on his mind, three Pakistani intelligence officers said Friday. ... The intelligence officers said a Jan. 9 missile attack in the North Waziristan tribal area killed Jamal Saeed Abdul Rahim. The FBI's Site lists him as a with possible Lebanese citizenship. The Pakistani authorities named him an al-Qaida member, however the FBI website says he was a of the Abu Nidal Palestinian terrorist group. Rahim is desired for his so-called part in the Sept. 5, 1986, hijacking of Pan American World Airways Flight 73 throughout a stay in the southern Pakistani town of Karachi, based on the FBI site. .. Rahim have been convicted and tried by Pakistan, but he and three assumed accomplices were apparently introduced in January 2008. All were put into the FBI record late last year. The FBI didn't instantly react to a request opinion Friday. Because authority was lacked by them to talk to press on the report the three Pakistani intelligence officers spoke on condition of anonymity. They reported area informants and resources in militant ranks. However the data is extremely difficult to confirm separately since use of Pakistan's tribal areas is fixed.
