"Pop?" Layla? ummmmmmmmmm...nope...Sunshine of one's love........no Badge?.....maybe Fantastic today? ...........yup!
To place it in perspective, I've been already hearing Clapton's first solo record. And exactly what a dirge of place garbage it is.... Club the tune "Let it Rain" that will be the only good thing on the album, and you've to wait a whole soft album to hear it, and even then you'd be better off hearing the live versions. Examine it to Rory Gallagher's first solo record, which includes electrical slip, acoustic people, acoustic blues and singer/songwriter-esque rock monitors it's clear who's the greater songwriter with a country mile. It actually concludes with a sax solo done by Rory herself Still another case showcasing exceptional playing and songwriting could be Jeff Beck's first solo record, or Paul Kossoff's just solo album....
