Personally I think it should only be pointed out to an individual within a church/Christian fellowship setting in which they are voluntarily and even then it should be done with love and not condemnation. I don't think there is any real reason to point it out to someone who is not even interested in Christianity to begin with because their biggest sin at that point is rejecting Christ, all other individual sins in their life don't even matter at that point.
I have no qualms about discussions on homosexuality on public Christian forums, such as this one, because any homosexual coming here knows they are on a Christian forum so they should expect that most people here are Christians who follow the Bible so we will put a Biblical perspectives on the things we talk about.
