Personally I think it should only be pointed out to an individual within a church/Christian fellowship setting in which they are voluntarily and even then it should be done with love and not condemnation.
I would amplify this... actions are only sins within the context of a specific religion/sect/congregation/fellowship.
Sins should only be pointed out to those within the fellowship because it is only a sin to you and among members. Voluntary membership is acknowledgement of the sin and members have an calling to work together to discuss these issues.
Outside the organization, there is no such calling, mandate, obligation or privilege to call out sins because there is not agreement on what universally constitutes sin. All that can be done is treat outsiders with dignity, love & respect and work to improve humanity for everyone.
