Salam, Okay there are Ahadith concerning wearing clothing above the ankle - this is required, all agreed? But then there is another Hadith that says what parts must reach the ground during Salah, if I'm not wrong it also says not to fold hair and clothes. What does fold mean? What does that mean for hair, does it mean you can not plat or put hair in a bun, how about gathering hair? What does it mean for clothes, if you use a belt or elastic or something else to hold your trousers up then they are gathered - does this mean it is folded, because gathering/scrunched up might not be allowed for hair so it means the same is not allowed for trousers? How about putting trousers into socks to avoid folding the trousers and to also keep them above your ankles, is this wrong if you do it just for Salah and then un-doing out of Salah? How about Jeans and jogging bottoms/pants that have elastic on the bottom - is this folded? I think all trousers would have this method or something similar for the waistband if not for the foot holes. If you not aware of the Ahadith please look them up, and help a brother out! I am very concerned because if I'm not wrong I've understood the Ahadith to mean that which is below the ankles will be in the FIRE. And worried if my salah will be valid or not incase my trousers are folded, elasticated or not above the ankles.
