The blood vessels in your fingers are veins and they are the blood vessels returning to your heart, therefore the pressure will not be as strong as an artery which are the blood vessels carrying fresh blood from your heart which will in turn have more pressure. You will most likely die if you cut an artery, which is why most people slit their wrists when attempting suicide. If you actually cut an artery, the blood will spurt out like a pulsing fountain.
?
Like in any other part of the body there are veins as well arteries in your fingers otherwise how would the blood be carried there?
It is true that the pressure is higher in arteries than in veins but cutting a vein can be as deadly as cutting an artery depending on the size of the vessel and type of the wound. During suicide attempts people cut the veins of their wrists.
The way the blood goes out of a wound depends on the pressure inside the vessel but also of the size of the wound. Therefore the opening ,in the vessel, for the blood to spurt out needs to be small and the pressure has to be strong.
