In that case, may I recommend the sword with the groove? Cutting should be done ideally with swords with no groove, but more ideal still - by experienced people and/or with qualified teachers.

Save your money. Buy a nice iaito/bokuto, find a dojo, start practicing, buy a cutting sword when you need one.

On a side note, you really need to spend $600-1000 more than you would on a Hanwei/Chen blade if you want something worthy of being part of a collection. Anyone can waste a few hundred quid on a shitty wallhanger/replica. Go have a look at www.swordstore.com - much better stuff.
