Your question would require a pretty long response! But a lot of the spiritual and philosophical side of things depends on who's teaching rather than the art itself.

There's a lot of crap kenjutsu out there taught under the cover of 'mystical, spiritual Japanese swordsmanship.' You're on much safer ground with kendo. What are you looking for? Better for what purpose? Why kenjutsu in particular, why not kendo?
