It is very vital that Beginner starts training Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu as soon as possible. All you need is a bokuto and a backyard to practice. Why not invite your friends over for some real duels?

Recommended material: Book of five rings, Hagakure, The Last Samurai, Highlander. Don't be fooled by quackery like the Karate Kid movies however!

f you have reached an appropriat e level (this should take two or three weeks training tops) you can buy a real sword (we call this a SHINKEN) on eBay, the best ones are priced around 50$ and have a dragon's head at the end of the tsuka (handle). Have your friends buy them too for more intense practice.
