Are your cloths cotton? Cotton does horrible, horrible things to your skin when it gets wet, or even damp. I know when i go camping/hiking i make sure i didn't pack any cotton cloths by mistake. Running around outdoors with damp cotton cloths is a guarenteed way to get chafed, irritated skin. That might be the source of the problem, actually....
