I am not sure about AikiJujustsu unless it is the same as Daito Ryu JuJitsu that I learned in my late teens.

Why not try both, see how you feel when you are doing them! You may decide from such experience that karate-do is still the one for you- of course you may decide that you prefer Aiki- jujitsu. You must follow your own path whatever that may be.
And if that means the most honourable and divine study or spotting trains then so be it
