japan has been winning the WKC since the beginning, Korea got 2nd place since the 80's, almost got to the top in 2003, but lost on the 6th deciding team match.

Yeah I know, but that is just the Japanese winning, not Japanese who won't allow them to win the World Kendo Tournament. It just struck me as a funny way to put it.
