I must say that the video was quite impressive. Since I am on a lab computer and at work managing this lab (zzzzzzz...zzzzzzzz.zzzzzzz), I don't have the sound up.

If that's what he wants to do, then it's no problem with me. As long as he doesn't come to me saying that he can kick my ass with his sword or go into a Kendo/Iaido/"insert sword art here" dojo with overconfidence under his belt, then it's not really affecting me at all.

Our goals are different. His seems to be just to learn to use a sword while ours is to learn a martial art. If his goal is to learn a martial art, then I pray to God (or whatever deity you worship/not worship) that he at least has some plans on going to a dojo or something.

By the way, who teaches this kind of stuff to people? We hear about martial artists teaching other people, but I have never heard of anyone teaching freestyle fighting with the likes of it, or at least it hasn't been advertised.
No one taught him to use a sword at all if it was any other object like some one said before it would be batton twerling.
He probably does practice iaido and some kind of gymnastics or dance work to perform that stuff, Its totaly un related to any martial art, just fun to watch..
