hah! all i can say that its hard and im defintaly not use to it.. btw its kumdo not kendo since japs dont live in so-cal area..

ne ways i have problems w/ the basics of it.. can u belive me? basics!!...
Well, as much as I want to say great keep it up, what you say is a bit shocking. California is such a wasteland that there's 3 kendo federations there, and 2 for So-Cal--SCKF and SCKO. I'm know members of those are active on the forums. Basically, I think it's a given that there's a lot more kendo dojo's out there than there are in most of the country.

Back to trying to be cheerful and encouraging...

Basics will be your problem for a while--just keep at it. I've been at it for about 7 months now. I was recently encouraged that it can take years to get the timing right so just keep at it. At this point, you should be learning how to walk and keep your posture correct. It was a rough month sliding the feet across the room over and over, but it got better... We got to chop air for 6 weeks after that. It's a slow road, just keep at it. There are no shortcuts to success.
