Very true. And it is always hard to try and asses your maturity level (everyone thinks they are mature enough to do as they want, ask any 12yr old, lol). As i said, if you're not sure, DON"T do it. Going back after you've been inked costs more, hurts more, and still leaves a scar.

I find my tattoos to be an introspection. They give me a reference to where i was in my life at the time. I try and base my tattoos on concepts that have remained constant ( at least to me), or on art that reflects who I am.

It may happen that 20 years down the road I decide that I screwed up, and now am stuck with 10lbs of ink in my skin. Then again, I may look back and still be as happy with them as I am now. I know not what the future may bring, only what the past has left behinde.

And I can always have fun scaring the "normals", lmao

I like the soccer mom part, cause it's too true. Most of the soccer moms get tattooed because it's the thing to do (trends show that 60-70% of all tattoos being recently inked are on women between 25-45, usualy business types). If you're getting inked cause it's "trendy", DON'T. You will regret it later, just like the drunk who got tattooed, it seemed appropriate at the time. 12 hours later might be a different story.
