Schedule the move for a time when it will cause minimal disruption to your workflow. Turn off and unplug the printer. Remove cartridges, printheads, and other consumables. Check for loose or removable parts on the printer and secure them. These include trays, covers, and media holders. Carefully disconnect all cables and wires from the printer. Too bad it doesn't go as fast with a driver's license, though it may still go fast on fake ohio id ) Label them so they can be easily plugged in at the new location. If you still have the original packing and shipping materials, use them. Otherwise, wrap the printer in blankets or bubble wrap to protect it during transportation.
