Gotta say I don't see much point to this. We've already seen what they look like, and as far as I know, the illustrious Mr. Kilgore is not leading the school anymore.

What's the point of these videos except to point and laugh? If you want to do that, there's tons of videos like this out there. Just go to youtube.com and search for Kenjutsu (the "Kenjutsu season", "kenjutsu demo" and "bohemian samurai" clips, for example), you'll see similar skill shown there. The whole shmegege about Chikara was, IMHO, because of their teacher, his claims, his attitude on various boards, and the curious appearance of a number of people who claim to be disinterested parties, support Chikara dojo, and turn out to be associated with them. Have you read swordforum.com lately? It's like some students have taken it upon themselves to try and organize a revolution, to get support for their school or something. Doesn't seem to be happening, and I'm not surprised.

Anyway, those videos are cringeworthy, sure. And I don't get why the "we're more hardcore than you/we don't need Japanese people to teach us/we'll bust you up if you question our authenticity/we don't need connected teachers, we can learn from books and TV/we don't do wussy kata, we do full on sparring" folks always end up looking more like cheerleaders twirling sticks than deathly serious warriors (see the stick twirling in the videos mentionned above, for example). But I don't see the point of distributing the Chikara videos, except to smirk at them.

I'll still probably end up downloading them and viewing them, though. I'm like that, I guess
