In all seriousness, I believe that the legal system is the best option we have so far. There is a lot of "the criminals have more rights" shit going on but isn't that better than a "Minority Report" society where we lock people up because of what they may do?

And yes, I realize that the judical process is screwed up at times, but when everyone involved--judge, jury, laywers--are human what do you expect? There is no guaranteed system that will punish the guilty and protect the innocent 100% of the time. You don't like it? Get involved and shape the laws, organize a victim's rights group, make sure your children are well-educated and watch them so they don't end up a victim.
100% agree.
I tell people that when the police kick their door in in the middle of the night and drag them and their loved ones out into the street at gunpoint, maybe they should call a plumber or one of the guys that say "kill them all and let god sort it out"
Oh wait, too late for that when you are the one they are "sorting out".
