I have been avoiding it so I don't have to suffer the same level of disappointment I got from watching the Resident Evil films.

I liked the Resident Evil films, low budget, decent plot, lots of game crossover reference points, and tons of gratuitous violence, what more could be expected? It was more action than horror anyways.
