I liked the Resident Evil films, low budget, decent plot, lots of game crossover reference points, and tons of gratuitous violence, what more could be expected? It was more action than horror anyways.

It wasn't that I didn't like them, I just thought that with the first one was a bit slow to get into and didn't really make use of the excellant story lines in the videogame series. The second was much better (with a superb realisation of The Nemesis).

I agree that they were more action than horror but they should have been more of an even mix of the two.
