This is a great idea, man. As alluded to earlier, there probably are some rivalries; it's a competitive sport (among other things) after all. But kendo seems to produce such as tight knit community (take the KW Forum for example) that I'd be willing to bet something like this could be a hit. Here in the NYC area, there are least 4 or 5 dojo, and that doesn't begin to reach out to New Jersey, Connecticut or Westchester county. I gotta say, though, I honestly don't know if anything like this is being done locally. Anybody local to NYC have something to add?
