I don't believe it's worth sharpening, but if you feel you must it's your katana, you should know how, or learn to sharpen the blade yourself.

You will find a good maintenance kit there, as well as some katana worth considering replacing the stainless steel decorative piece with.

as for your stainless steel argument razors have the best edges in the world, yes, but how long do they keep their edge? Thickness is also a major factor in razor blades as well.
