As someone who takes his bowel movements very seriously. I would like to state that the High Tech Japanese toilets are the closest thing to heaven for me. One day I will own one myself and will spend the majority of my spare time on it.

They have come down in price quite a bit.

I find the subject of history in general fascinating. Since little is documented on the hygiene habits of ancient humans (for reasons the article stated,) it is a grossly unreported aspect.
For more fun, try asking your local Librarian for books on the topic, and you'll get a strange look from even the most hardened bibliophile.
