Vegas is good although I don't know if I want to spend 2 weeks there. I would say Cali (my home state) starting in Yosemite, then on to San Fran and then down the coast till you get to San Diego stopping at various spots along the way. Cali has a lot to see and do and it differs from city to city. You have mountains, gorgeous National Parks, amusement areas , night life, beaches, etc etc. Just depends on how much you want to spend in a way because it can get a bit procey depending on where you stay and what you do. San Fran has a lot of stuff to see and do, including wine country, Golden Gate, wharf area, nihon machi, china town, etc etc, as you head down the coast there are a lot of picturesque areas along the coast. Then you get to LA and is kind of a wasteland...lol... but San Diego has a lot to do plus you can hop across the border if it strikes you. You can also take a trip into the desert east of San Diego to see sand dunes and cactus if that strikes your fancy. But really there are a lot of areas in the USA that are really cool to visit so it kind of depends on your tastes and desires. Oh, btw... Happy Birthday in advance!
