come to Philly!! lots to do, and you gotta eat a cheesesteak at Pat's before you leave! drive 1.5 hours north and you hit the poconos (north eastern pennsylvania) which is stunning in the fall, and there are many outdoor activities like whitewater rafting and horseback riding available, plus your dollar will go far there. after that head another 1.5 hours north and hit New York City and be a true tourist! i hear Maine is really pretty in fall as well.
